Alternative Means of Support

If you find that you cannot afford my fees, you may want to contact your GP or local health centre for a counselling referral. You may also be eligible for reduced fees if you ask at your place of work or study. Alternatively, if you would like to contact agencies or online directories that concentrate on specific issues or client groups, please use the links below:
- Alcohol Concern
- Childline
- Cruse Bereavement Care
- Eating Disorders Association
- Rape Crisis
- Relate (couples counselling)
- Samaritans
- Terrence Higgins Trust (HIV/AIDS)
- Victim Support (crime)
- Women’s Aid (domestic violence)
There is also an extensive list here.
Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute also has an online directory of its graduates.
| If you are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered, you may appreciate the directory of "sexuality affirmative" therapists here. |
Many thanks to Helen Priddle at Humanistic.co.uk for these excellent resources.
